About Your Urgent Care Center
80. Do you by any chance have a timeline available for starting up an urgent care center?
We work with many startups through our sister consulting company National Med Network, we have worked with over 50 startup urgent care centers. The timeline that you refer to would be part-and-parcel to their service. The actual list of items to complete has about 1,500 different tasks. Generally, it takes about 8-12 months from the time you have made the decision to start until you open. This timeline can get down to about 3-4 months if you have a ready-built facility. If you can leverage existing payor contracts from another business (hospital, IPA, or another practice), then this can be accomplished while minimizing losses.
